Training

Dual vocational training in Germany lasts from 24 months to a maximum of 42 months. As a rule, most apprenticeships last 3 years. During dual vocational training in Germany, you work in a company and attend a vocational school. The practical training takes place in the company. Theoretical instruction takes place at the vocational school.

To do an apprenticeship in Germany, you need a German level of A2 or even B1. However, there are vocational schools and employers who offer you language preparation. In this case, you can attend a language course in Germany that will bring you up to level B1.

With the Skilled Workers Immigration Act, you can apply for a visa for six or nine months as a foreign trainee looking for a training place and complete internships (max. 10 hours per week) during this time.
