Recruiting from abroad
You cannot find a suitable skilled worker and are considering recruiting skilled workers from abroad? The team of the Welcome Center Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg will support you and offers you free advice on these topics:
- Searching for qualified workers. Cooperation with competent authorities.
- Information on entry and residence regulations
- Initial assessment of questions regarding the recognition of a foreign qualification
- Search for suitable German courses for your skilled worker
- Family reunion
The new Skilled Workers Immigration Act (Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz) introduced the possibility of an accelerated procedure for skilled workers, which enables skilled workers and trainees from third countries to enter Germany more quickly.

A person with an opportunity card has applied to your company. With this letter, we would like to inform you about their planned stay and possible employment opportunities.
UBA connect
UBA connect has set up a database in which CCI member companies can register if they are interested in employing a skilled worker from abroad within the framework of an adaptation qualification and beyond. UBA connect forwards the profiles to the pilot chambers, which then contact the interested companies and establish contact between the skilled worker and the company and accompany the hiring process.

Central Placement Abroad and Placement of Specialists
The Central Placement Office (ZAV) of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) is primarily responsible for the immigration of skilled workers from abroad and for the placement of special occupational groups. The ZAV can be contacted via the employer service of the relevant local employment agency.
